Overview

OpenHabit (“the App”) is a habit tracking application that prioritizes your privacy. All your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

Data Collection

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not collect usage analytics
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data
• We do not use advertising or ad tracking
• We do not share any data with third parties

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Habits: Names, frequencies, colors, and settings for habits you create
• Completions: Records of when you complete your habits
• Reminders: Notification times you configure for your habits
• App Settings: Your preferences such as theme and display options

This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App uses your device’s notification system to send you local notifications. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. The data is protected by your device’s built-in security features, including:

• Device passcode/biometric protection
• iOS App Sandbox isolation
• Device encryption

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual habits within the App
• Uninstalling the App (removes all data)

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy.
